GMB Motorsport forms partnership with Aston Martin Racing

An agreement has been made between GMB Motorsport and Aston Martin Racing regarding the upcoming season, which entails that we will be driving an Aston Martin Vantage GTE at 24 Hours of Le Mans and the European Le Mans Series.

During the 2023 season, GMB Motorsport will participate in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time alongside participation in the European Le Mans Series, ELMS, which consists of six 4-hour races on some of the best courses around Europe. Because of that, we have made an agreement with Aston Martin Racing to drive the races in an Aston Martin Vantage GTE.

Behind the wheel of the English GTE will be a successful GMB-trio; Jens Reno Møller, Gustav Birch and the Danish TCR-champion Kasper H. Jensen. Each of whom participated in this year’s Le Mans Cup, and each finished the season on the podium after the last race in Portimão back in October. Spearheading the team will of course be team manager Casper Elgaard, who himself drove for Aston Martin Racing at Le Mans back in 2007:

– We are incredibly proud to be able to present this collaboration with Aston Martin Racing. I have previously had the pleasure to work alongside them, and I know that they are very professional people, who takes great care of everything down to the last detail. We are looking forward to getting the car on the track, and hopefully to achieve a lot of great results in the coming season.

Huw Tasker, Head of AMR partner racing, is also anticipating a successful partnership:

– We are delighted to welcome GMB to the Aston Martin Racing family. They come to our brand with an excellent pedigree and powered by the world class performance of the Vantage GTE, we are confident that we will have a very successful season in 2023. We have known some of the team members for many years and with our close working relationship with Danish drivers and staff, it will be, no doubt, an enjoyable working relationship and we’re looking forward to reaching new heights together.

The first opportunity to see the new Aston Martin Vantage GTE in action will be the 20
th of April next year during the official tests for ELMS ahead of the first race of the season the 23rd of April in Barcelona.

The partnership with Aston Martin Racing comes right on the heels of the announcement, that we have extended our main sponsor agreement with MASCOT for another season. Because of this MASCOT, will be prominently displayed on the GTE-racer during the year.
